| Welcome To
ZeroZine Issue Four! This is our biggest issue to date, featuring
the works of four photographers and two writers. The
cover image this month is a digital manipulation done by
Catherine McIntyre, one of our featured artists. We are
also exhibiting the black and white works of Darin
Boville. Another noteworthy contributor this month is
Garrett Roberts, who specializes in Infrared Photography
and "Symmetrical Photography". We are also
proud to have the first public exhibit of works of the up
and coming photographer, Ian Mitchinson.
Poetry this month is
contributed by Gretchen Hazell and Mark Johnson.
Issue four has been
redesigned and enhanced with manipulations from
architectural photographs from the Renaissance and
Baroque era.
Suggestions
I am always looking for new ways to improve the layout
and design of this page. Any suggestions or comments are
always appreciated. Feel free to comment to me at webmaster@zerozine.com .
Submissions
Submissions can be emailed to SubmitZero@zerozine.com . I am accepting submissions for
photography, painting, sculpture, short stories and
poetry. Attached files should be no bigger than
four megabytes total per message and can contain
multiple attachments. I would prefer that the images be
as large as possible, for ease of resampling. Text can be
sent as an attachment in Word or WordPerfect format or
included in the text of the email message. In your
message please include information about yourself, your
work, and whatever else you feel is important in your
message. Apple users - please be sure
your files include the appropriate file extensions
(image.jpg, image.gif, text.doc, etc).
About ZeroZine
ZeroZine was started in November of 1996 as an
extension of a now discontinued site "Zero
Galleries". ZeroZine was designed as a quarterly
electronic magazine, intended to be supported by
submitting artists and writers. In May 1997, ZeroZine was
moved to a faster server at The Virtual Landlords, as well as enhanced with a fully
functional moderated listserv and Cold Fusion based user
forums. Through intense marketing by DCC,
ZeroZine has become one of the Internet's most popular
Arts and Literature magazines. ZeroZine is currently a
"one man" project, maintained and designed by Geoffrey Brown. Graphics and layout for ZeroZine are of
original design and are generally tailored to the style
of our cover artist.
